If you’ve ever dreamed of exploring the underwater world but don’t know where to begin, you’re in luck! In the Rio Grande Valley, RGV Scuba offers comprehensive scuba training and exciting dive charters near South Padre Island and the RGV. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced diver, RGV Scuba can help you embark on an unforgettable underwater adventure. Have you ever wanted to go scuba diving but don’t know how or where to start? Well, you’re in luck because here in the Rio Grande Valley, there is a diving school called RGV Scuba. They offer scuba training and dive charters near South Padre Island and the RGV.
Captain Michael D. Thomas, a passionate biologist, is the esteemed founder of Aquatica Diving and RGV Scuba. As a distinguished PADI Elite Instructor, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and Advanced Free diver, he brings 30 years of extensive experience to the underwater realm. Additionally, as an AHA CPR Instructor and USCG Master Captain (25 GT), he has certified several hundred students and conducted countless dive trips, accumulating a remarkable few thousand dives.
RGV Scuba offers training options for both new and experienced divers. RGV Scuba offers professionally guided dive training to get your PADI Open Water Diver certification. They provide scuba certification, which includes three parts: knowledge development, pool sessions, and four open-water dives.
The organization also reaches out to middle and high school students, offering them the opportunity to earn a certification that holds lifetime validity and global recognition. Their outreach efforts are focused on providing training and aquatic education options to the local community’s middle and high schools. This program not only equips students with a valuable skill but also educates them about ocean conservation and nurturing the marine environment.
Are you enchanted by the vastness of the ocean, and have you ever envisioned yourself as a graceful mermaid gliding through the water? You’ll be thrilled to discover the emergence of PADI Mermaid Programs, tailored to provide a novel avenue for water enthusiasts to immerse themselves in their underwater pursuits. These innovative programs operate as standalone offerings, akin to the PADI Free Diver program. Mermaids, starting from the age of 6, can partake in these programs and even acquire an official PADI certification without needing prior scuba or free diver ratings. The all-new Mermaid Programs encompass four levels of student ratings, delving into water safety skills, freediving techniques, breathing regulation, and mindfulness coupled with body awareness. It’s an exciting opportunity to delve deeper into your love for the ocean and refine your underwater abilities.
