Los Fresnos News
Beginning on a high note, the Los Fresnos Falcons went on a three game winning-streak before falling to PSJA 40-24. To bounce back, the Los Fresnos Falcons went on the road to take on the Edinburg High Bobcats. The last time the Falcons and Bobcats met, was the 2017 Bi-District round which Los Fresnos won 34-14.
Edinburg took the lead early on with a touchdown. Los Fresnos was able to put up a field goal. The second quarter saw both teams end up scoreless as defense stole the show. Heading into the third quarter, both offenses came to life, as the Falcons were able to knock in two touchdowns before Edinburg scored one in. The Falcons then completely changed the tempo by taking control. Dominance on offense and defense allowed the Falcons to score three unanswered touchdowns to walk away 38-14.
Los Fresnos will have one more district game against Sharyland before going on their bye week. District Play will begin on Friday October 18, as the Falcons host the San Benito Greyhounds. Sitting at 4-1 on the season, the Falcons look to carry their momentum into the final stages of non-district action
