LFCISD 2025 Robotics Competition

The Los Fresnos CISD hosted the 2025 District Robotics on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Resaca Middle School Campus.  The competition revolves around innovation and teamwork while navigating through a high-tech STEM challenge.  The elementary challenge was “Mars Math Expedition”, while our secondary students took on the “Rapid Relay” challenge.

A total of forty-four teams competed including 30 elementary, 12 middle school, and 2 high school.

The annual competition, hosted by the Los Fresnos CISD Technology Department, was organized by District Robotics Coordinator Angela Dunkin.  

“We deeply appreciate the countless hours of hard work invested by our Los Fresnos CISD Robotics Club students,” said Dunkin.  “We also extend our sincere gratitude to our exceptional parents and staff; whose unwavering support makes this event possible. We are incredibly proud to showcase the talent and dedication of our students.”

  • 1st Place: Olmito Elementary School – “Tech Alphaz”
  • 2nd Place: Dora Romero Elementary School – “The Jaguars”

Middle School:

  • 1st Place: Resaca Middle School – “Gator Goalie Wreckers”
  • 2nd Place: Liberty Memorial Middle School – “Liberty Circuit Breakers”

High School:

  • 1st Place: Los Fresnos High School – “CTRL-ALT-DEFEAT”
  • 2nd Place: Los Fresnos High School – “Millenium Falcons”
