Los Fresnos News
The Los Fresnos Falcons Basketball Programs have been having great starts, this is what we’ve seen so far.
On the Girls side of things, The Lady Falcons sit with a record of 8-3. The Lady Falcons went on a 6-0 run to kick off the regular season, picking up wins over Roma, PSJA Memorial, Valley View, St. Joseph Academy, La Joya and Palmview. The Lady Falcons suffered their first loss to Edinburg Vela, then lost again to San Antonio SMH. After two more wins over San Antonio Lee and Eagle Pass win, Los Fresnos lost their third game to San Antonio Sotomayor. Remaining non-district opponents include Corpus Christi Carroll, Pace, Edinburg and Port Isabel, as well as tournament opponents before the Lady Falcons kick off 32-6A play against the Rivera Lady Raiders.
For the Boys, The Falcons have also found some key success. Posting a strong 6-1 record, the Falcons have had some strong wins themselves. After defeating Weslaco East in the regular season opener, the Falcons took part in the San Perlita tournament. Finishing 4-1 in tournament play, the Falcons captured third place in the tournament. After tournament play, Los Fresnos knocked off Coastal Bend powerhouses Miller and Carroll on back to back days. The Falcons look to continue that momentum for the rest of non-district before 32-6A begins against the Hanna Golden Eagles.
