Los Fresnos News
The Los Fresnos Falcons basketball team has had a wild time in District 32-6A. Currently 3-3 in district action. Here is what we have seen so far for the Falcons in the 2022-23 District Campaign.
After a Solid Non-District Schedule that Saw Los Fresnos pick up big wins over big opponents, as well as post a 19-6 record. The Falcons began 32-6A action against the evenly stacked Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles. Thanks to key offense, Los Fresnos defeated Hanna in a wild district opener 64-54.
Looking to continue the momentum off their big win over Brownsville Hanna, The Falcons then took on 32-6A Powerhouse San Benito.
After a close matchup, Los Fresnos fell behind in the third quarter thanks to a surge by San Benito. The Greyhounds would hold on to win 58-50.
Now 1-1, Los Fresnos took on the Harlingen Cardinals to try and bounce back and capture a win at home. In a back and forth battle, Harlingen slipped away at the last second to win 60-56.
The Falcons then bounced back with a huge win over Brownsville Rivera 65-48. The Falcons would not stop there as Los Fresnos hosted Weslaco and picked up a big win over the Panthers 56-41.
As Los Fresnos starts of the second round of 32-6A, The Falcons sit at 3-3 following a loss to the Hanna Golden Eagles. Los Fresnos will then take on San Benito, Harlingen, Brownsville Rivera and Weslaco to wrap up 32-6A action. The Falcons look to punch their ticket to the playoffs after missing the playoffs last season.
