Lady Falcons Fall in Area Round

After a big win over Edinburg in the Bi-District Round, the Los Fresnos Lady Falcons faced off against the San Antonio Harlan Hawks in the 6A Area Round. After falling in Last Year’s Area Round to San Antonio O’ Connor, the Lady Falcons looked to return the favor in 2023.
Set one saw Harlan take control fast and not look back as the Lady Hawks pulled away and won set one 25-11. Set two saw Harlan dominate once again as The Lady Hawks played solid and defense to capture set two by the same score of 25-11.
Down to their last set, Los Fresnos looked to fight with all they could as San Antonio Harlan again dominated both sides of the ball. Harlan would play solidly and efficiently throughout the Night and were able to hold off Los Fresnos 25-10, sweeping the Lady Falcons.
With the loss, Volleyball comes to an end in Los Fresnos in 2023. The Lady Falcons finish the season with an Overall record of 29-11 and a District Record of 6-3. As one sport finishes, one begins as Los Fresnos will startup with Basketball.
