Los Fresnos Christmas Parade Brings the Christmas Spirit Alive

On Saturday, December 2nd the Chamber of Los Fresnos held their annual Christmas Parade “A Family Christmas”. The weather was perfect as many of the schools, clubs, organizations, and businesses took to the streets of Los Fresnos to display their Christmas spirit. This year’s float category winners were in First place Los Fresnos Elementary Conjunto, Second Place was Rotary Club of Los Fresnos, and Third Place was Empowered Counseling Services. In the band category, in first place was Liberty Memorial Middle School Patriotic Band, second place was Los Cuates Middle Cougar Band, and third place was Los Fresnos High School Mighty Falcon Band. Finally in the Drill Team/Dancing/Walking Category in first place was Olmito Elementary School Cheerleaders, in second was Dora Romero Elementary Cheer and in third place was Los Fresnos Elementary Dance Team. After the parade, the Christmas Festival took place at Memorial Park. Santa was there for photo opportunities and goodie bags were given out to the children. There was plenty of fun and entertainment for everyone.

El sábado 2 de diciembre la Ciudad de Los Fresnos realizó su Desfile Anual de Navidad “Una Navidad en Familia”. El clima fue perfecto cuando muchas escuelas, clubes, organizaciones y empresas salieron a las calles de Los Fresnos para mostrar su espíritu navideño. Los ganadores de la categoría de carrozas de este año fueron el primer lugar del Conjunto Primario Los Fresnos, el segundo lugar fue el Club Rotario de Los Fresnos y el tercer lugar fue Empowered Counseling Services. En la categoría de bandas, en primer lugar quedó Liberty Memorial Middle School Patriotic Band, en segundo lugar Los Cuates Middle Cougar Band y en tercer lugar Los Fresnos Hight School Mighty Falcon Band. Finalmente, en la categoría Equipo de Ejercicios/Baile/Caminata, en primer lugar quedaron las porristas de la Escuela Primaria Olmito, en segundo lugar quedaron las porristas de la Primaria Dora Romero y en tercer lugar quedó el equipo de danza de la Primaria Los Fresnos. Después del desfile, tuvo lugar el Festival de Navidad en Memorial Park. Santa estuvo allí para tomar fotografías y se entregaron bolsas de regalos a los niños. Hubo mucha diversión y entretenimiento para todos.
