Los Fresnos, TX –The Los Fresnos CISD Bilingual/ESL Department will host its 4th Annual Biliteracy Night, themed “Cosecha de Libros: Una Celebración al Bilingüismo.”
This vibrant celebration aims to promote literacy among families, the community, and our bilingual students.
The event will take place from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the lawn of Leo Aguilar Memorial Stadium, located at 100 Stadium Dr.
Attendees can expect a lively evening filled with engaging activities, including booths set up by all district campuses. Each booth will bring to life a children’s book with beautifully themed displays and interactive experiences.
Los Fresnos CISD departments and various community organizations will also participate, providing valuable resources and information for families. Delicious treats and activities round out the festivities for students, their families, and the school community, ensuring a fun and memorable night for all.
“Our goal is to empower our students with the linguistic skills they need to thrive,” said Rosemary Leal, Bilingual Education Director at Los Fresnos CISD. “Promoting a culture of biliterate, bilingual, and bicultural students not only enhances their educational journey but also enriches our entire community. Events like Biliteracy Night celebrate this diversity and encourage families to engage in the joy of reading together.”
“Cosecha de Libros” underscores the importance of bilingualism and the rich cultural heritage of our community.
