Local DAR Members Attend Statewide Flag Day Luncheon in Brownsville

Thomas Barlow Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), attended a Texas State DAR District IX Flag Day Luncheon hosted by the DuBois-Hite Chapter, NSDAR, in Brownsville, Saturday, June 14, 2025. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and securing America’s future through better education. At the heart of the organization is a membership of nearly 190,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the world. Daughters are vibrant, active women who are passionate about community service, preserving history, educating children, as well as honoring and supporting those who serve our nation. Members of DAR come from diverse backgrounds and have a variety of interests. Their common bond is their lineal descent from patriots of the American Revolution – any woman above the age of 18 regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove this lineage is eligible to join.
