Los Fresnos CISD WelcomesNew Educators to the District

By Mike Villarreal

Los Fresnos Consolidated Independent School District (CISD) proudly welcomed its newest educators during the 2025–2026 New Teacher Academy! This comprehensive weeklong orientation was designed to immerse new team members in the district’s culture, curriculum, and innovative instructional practices.

Throughout the week, new educators participated in a variety of workshops, networking events, and collaborative sessions aimed at fostering a strong community among their peers. A highlight of the orientation was the New Teacher Breakfast, which provided an opportunity for the newcomers to connect with campus leadership and district administrators. During this event, Superintendent Dr. Gonzalo Salazar addressed the gathering, underscoring the district’s commitment to excellence and the importance of the Profile of a Leader—a strategic framework centered around four key pillars: Serving Others, Fostering Growth, Promoting Innovation, and Leaving a Legacy.

As we celebrate the arrival of our new educators, let’s extend a warm welcome to them! On August 11th, they joined our dedicated team of educators across 14 campuses, all poised to embark on a new year filled with learning, leadership, and a shared commitment to enhancing student success. Together, we look forward to a year of inspiring growth and impactful teaching!
